Bat Boy is a Challenger Card that was first seen and printed in the Grotto Beasts! Trading Card Game. The character is a reference to the Jermaverse character of the same name as seen in the Jerma Rumble.
The Card

- Beasts can have negative power, however during combat a Beast with negative Power works the same exact way as if it had zero power.

- Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:
Bat Boy was on my personal shortlist for Challengers but not on the shortlist from Jerma as Challengers he wanted to have. In some discussions, Bat Boy was not going to be selected. It took some convincing that Bat Boy was a creative and fun character that players would enjoy having in the game, and it fits the role of a Challenger has a purely bad card effect. I am glad to see Bat Boy was given a spot and very happy with the design.
