Optimal Illusion is a Beast Card that was first seen in The Wonders of Archaeology Stream as part of the Original Forty and was first printed in the Grotto Beasts! Trading Card Game.
The Card
Card Effect
You may summon Beasts and Grottos from your discard pile as if they were in your hand. When you summon a Wish, you may choose a Beast in play and it rests. |
Prop Version
- See Also Original Forty
Rules and Rulings
- Universal
- Cards summoned from the discard pile as if they were in your hand are still considered located in the discard pile when summoned. Any card effect that would activate upon summoning a card from your hand would not work on the cards summoned with Optimal Illusion's card effect.

Development

Optimal Illusion was becoming a very favorite Beast once it was shown off, and I wanted to try and fit its abilities from the original card as possible, and while some of it carried over, there were just some card effects that I wanted to add and they needed a home.
