Development
- Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:
At the beginning, I was not really happy about the kinds of effects I had for this card, and early in development I felt like that I didn't see much in the character. At times like these, I try to make a card effect that is pushed so far that HAS to be considered cool. At most points in playtesting, it was one of the strongest cards in the game. It eventually had to receive the small exception against Aquatic Beasts that weren't summoned that turn, as Harlefin + the Wavestrider dropping in the same turn was far too good. In the end, it's now become one of my favorites in the game, making my goals for this card successful. I'm proud of that.
