Information
Toyrex is a small, aggressive Techtic Beast resembling a tyrannosaurus rex. Many believe them to have originally been intended as a toy intended for play-battles. These creatures are still being studied.
Development
- Written by Art Team Lead Hollulu:
One of the very first designed beasts, the inked and finished Toyrex was uploaded by core team artist Sturner alongside the finished transparent artworks for Sneezie, Nightmite, Bobbin, and Weeniemutt on February 26th, 2021.
The Sheen foil was chosen of the holographic version of the card to resemble a metallic shine.

Trivia
- The physical card for Toyrex was misprinted in both printing waves one and two with an accidental spelling error in the flavor text, with "opponent" spelled as "opponenet".
- Toyrex's singular eye can be seen inside the grotto artwork illustrated by Sturner for the game's packaging, appearing on the booster foil packs and official rulebook.
- One of three robotic dinosaurs that appear in the game, alongside Abacus 1.0 and Excasaur.
