Pine Princess was originally a Beast with similar card effects. Pine Princess was one of the first Beasts to be elevated to Challenger once it was agreed to expand the Challengers from just Jermaverse characters and into new characters that come from the Grotto Beasts world. It was important that the premiere Grotto-focused Challenger would be from the land of the Grottos, and Pine Princess made the most sense.
