Michael the Birthday Boy is a Challenger Card that was first seen and printed in the Grotto Beasts! Trading Card Game. The character is a reference to the Jermaverse character Michael Gregory as seen in Rat Movie 2: The Movie.
The Card
Card Effect
During game setup, attach ten cards at random from your deck face down onto Michael the Birthday Boy. When an opponent scores a card, you may look at the cards attached to Michael the Birthday Boy. If you do, choose one of them and put it into your hand. |

Development
- Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:
The card effect on Michael was originality meant for a Mrs. Claus challenger. Once Mrs. Claus was cut from the game, the mechanic moved to Michael as it was seen as a worthwhile mechanic to keep for a Challenger.
