The Card
Card Effect

Card Revision 1 - Digital Release
Balance Changes
The top card of your deck is always revealed to all players. As you summon a Wish, if it has the same name as the card at the top of your deck, its summoning cost is 1 less but cannot be reduced below 1 in this way. |
Rules and Rulings
- Universal
- Any time, after you finish any current card effect, if the top card of your deck is face down, it should be turned face up for all players to view.
- Summoning costs that are not already zero cannot be reduced to zero or less. If the summoning cost of a Wish is 1, its cost remains 1.
Information
Development
- Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:
The idea for The Jem Wizard was to be a very heavily Wish-using Challenger that allows players to play lots of Wishes at a reduced cost. Early in development, The Jem Wizard allowed players to summon both Grottos and Wishes at a similar discount, but the Grotto portion was removed to ensure that The Jem Wizard fit a specific role.
