the top of your summoning pool.

When you score a card, reveal it to all
players. If it is a Rat Beast, you may
summon it to your sideline free of cost.

Rules and Rulings

Universal
  • You cannot summon a revealed Rat Beast if you do not have any open spot in your sideline. Instead it must be scored.

Development

Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:

As the card quantity of 200 was being set and finalized, there was a specific set of slots reserved for Rat Beasts even though none were designed yet, as we all knew that we wanted a Challenger of The Giant Rat that worked alongside Rat Beasts. There was a hope to have five Rat Beasts, but one was cut to give more space.
