Green Screen is a Challenger Card that was first seen and printed in the Grotto Beasts! Trading Card Game. The character is a reference to the Jermaverse character of the same name as seen in the Jerma Rumble. It is the personification of the green screen Jerma985 acts in front of.
The Card
Card Effect
When a Grotto you have in play is discarded, you may attach it face up onto Green Screen instead. When you would score a card, you may discard the top three cards of your deck instead. If you do, choose a Grotto attached to Green Screen and summon it free of cost |
Rules and Rulings
- Universal
- The Grotto card you choose to summon must be a face up Grotto attached to Green Screen.
- If in combination with another card effect you were able to look at the face down cards on Green Screen at all times, a face down Grotto is still is not a legal target. A card that is face up must be a card that is visible to all players at all times.

Development
- Written by Game Designer J. Evan Raitt:
During playtesting, Green Screen really paired well with Volca Island to the point where some kind of drawback was necessary. That is why there is a seemingly random discard cost on Green Screen's card effect. Among the many options for the cost, discarding cards from the top of a deck was the least intrusive cost that ensured players were able to pay the cost at any time since there is already an additional cost of spending a scored card. Some other costs other than spending scoring cards was tried, however Green Screen and Volca Island became too oppressive.
